Welcome to the sixth edition of our monthly newsletter.
Following the recent rain in the region, the Granite Belt Irrigation Project (GBIP) has been thrilled to see rivers flowing again and understands the enormous positive impact this will have on the people and businesses of Stanthorpe.
Last month, the vital nature of the Project was recognised by Queensland Minister for Water, Glenn Butcher, when he toured the Emu Swamp Dam development site. We are also now in partnership with The University of Southern Queensland after signing a Memorandum of Understanding.
I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate GBIP Operations Coordinator Margôt Tesch for her acceptance to the National Rural Women’s Coalition leadership mentoring program held in Canberra.
